Our client is the leading health care provider for travelers in Canada. They are looking for part-time Nurse Practitioners who will cater to clients in the lower mainland. The successful candidate will provide mobile and virtual medical consultations. Duties include but not limited to:
• Autonomously diagnose and treat illnesses
• Order and interpret tests
• Prescribe medications
This fantastic opportunity is a part time position (10-15 hours a week) with the potential of paying more than a full time position. We understand that most NPs already have a full-time job during the day. Because of this, medical visits will be scheduled based on their availability.
A typical day for the Travel NP would be —
- During the day we will send the NP the information about the visits to do that afternoon / evening
- The NP will attend to the patients and then enter the notes of the visit in our system
- Some visits do come in the evening and if so, we will advise the NP, but there will always be some flexibility (for example, we usually give a 2-4 hour window to the patient: “The NP will be seeing you between 5pm-9pm”
Qualifications:
- Registered NP and Authorized to Practice in British Columbia
- Must have a vehicle
- Evening and weekend availability
Compensation: $200/hour + travel / gas allowance if beyond the lower mainland
