I am pretty sure you’ve heard this advice before. “Prepare questions to ask your interviewer.”
Because more often than not, they will end the meeting with this. “Do you have any questions for me?”
That’s the questions almost all, if not all interviewers ask at the end of the job interview. As a job seeker, you have always been advised to prepare a few intelligent questions in order to show your interest in the position. This is also an opportunity to make yourself look smart in front of your interviewer!
So, just exactly what questions do you ask your interviewer?
Think of the Job Interview as a sales call. If you want it, ask for it! Close the interview with #questions like —
1. Have I provided you with all the information that you need for me to be strongly considered for this position? This is also an opportunity to add more information which you may have forgotten to mention during the meeting.
2. What are the next steps in the recruitment process? More often than not, if they tell you what the next step will be, this means they are probably interested.
3. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to interview for this role. I am very excited to hear back, when will you be making a decision to hire? Their response will also give you an idea about how urgent the requirement is.
As the saying goes, you only get in life the things you have courage to ask for. So go ahead and ask those questions, you might just get the answers you’re wishing for!
