About the Role:
The Health and Safety Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and maintaining health and safety programs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role also includes key responsibilities related to the company’s sustainability initiatives, supporting its commitment to environmental stewardship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
- Deliver safety training and awareness programs to promote a safe work culture.
- Investigate workplace incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate sustainability practices into day-to-day operations.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on health, safety, and sustainability performance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Health and Safety within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing.
- Experience with sustainability initiatives is an asset.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of $65,000 to $75,000, plus bonus and profit-sharing opportunities.
